At Kingborough Family Church, we embrace a simple yet profound approach to living out our faith: “Loving God and Loving People.” We believe that choosing to follow God is just the beginning of a lifelong journey, and as a church, we are committed to walking alongside people as they grow and mature in their faith.

We have regular groups that cater for guests who come through the doors of our church, as well as those who already call KFC their home church. These include a Sunday kids ministry, playgroup, weekly youth groups, junior youth nights, and regular life groups where people can get together and build connections.

Visiting

If you’re in the southern Hobart region on a Sunday morning, we’d love to welcome you to Kingborough Family Church. Our service begins at 10am and typically features contemporary Christian music, communion, an uplifting message, and much more. We also offer a vibrant kids’ ministry during our regular services.

At KFC, we’re all about community, so come as you are. We can’t wait to meet you! After the service, join us for a cup of tea or coffee and some morning tea — it’s a great chance to chat and get to know each other better.

Welcome Lunch

Playgroup

Our Playgroup is the perfect place for parents, caregivers, and children under school age to connect, explore, and grow in a safe, supportive environment.

Join us every Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM during school terms for a morning filled with play, friendship, and community. We encourage families to bring a piece of fruit for their child to share, and we provide tea and coffee for the grown-ups to enjoy while they chat.

A gold coin donation helps us keep this program running, ensuring a warm and inclusive space for all. Whether you’re new to the area or just looking for a friendly group to join, we’d love to welcome you!

Kids

At Kingborough Family Church, we love creating a fun, engaging, and safe space for children to grow in their faith while having an amazing time! Our Kids Program runs during the Sunday service, providing an age-appropriate experience designed to help children connect with God and each other.

Our dedicated leaders are fully trained and follow all ChildSafe procedures to ensure a secure and welcoming environment for all children.

We offer two exciting programs tailored for different age groups:
3-7 years – Interactive stories, games, and activities to introduce young children to God’s love in a fun way.
7-12 years – Dynamic lessons, challenges, and discussions to help older kids explore their faith in a deeper way.

Junior Youth

During the term on specific Friday afternoons we have a program for Prep to Grade 6. There’s heaps of fun, music and a chance to break of into small groups to talk about how God engages in our everyday lives.

Youth

KFC Youth is the youth ministry of Kingborough Family Church, dedicated to empowering young people (Grades 6–12) to grow in faith, build authentic community, and discover their purpose in Christ. We meet every Friday during the school term from 7–9pm, running a rotating schedule of Youth Life nights, Wonder nights, and Social nights. KFC Youth is a fun, faith-filled environment where every young person can connect, explore God’s Word, and encounter His presence. Cost is $3 per night.

Life Groups

At Kingborough Family Church, coming together on Sunday is just one part of how we do life as a family. Throughout the week, we offer a variety of Life Groups designed for different ages, interests, and focuses.

Our Life Groups are all about building meaningful relationships and doing life together. Whether it’s connecting over Bible study, prayer, offering encouragement, or simply sharing a meal and chatting, Life Groups provide a space for growth and community.
